The Iowa State chapter of Delta Upsilon is dedicated to serving the community. Each chapter member is expected to complete a minimum of 15 hours of community service per semester. All community service hours are documented via the Helper Helper app and submitted to Delta Upsilon International for review on an annual basis. The chapter offers many service opportunities throughout the year. It is also expected that each chapter member will find their own service opportunities throughout campus and the community. Some of the opportunities offered include campus cleanup events, volunteering at the Habitat for Humanity and the Reiman Garden Pumpkin Carving event. Additionally, some chapter members choose to participate in Dance Marathon, an organization that raises money for the University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital.
